Randy S. Freeman, DO

Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Randy Freeman, DO, MS is a physician in child and adolescent psychiatry and a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University. He has expertise in Developmental Disorders and previously worked at Bradley Hospital’s Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. Prior to this appointment, he was Jr. Clinical Instructor at Tufts University and had experience at Spring Harbor’s Developmental Disorders Unit associated with Maine Medical Center.  Dr. Freeman enjoys treating all psychiatric disorders and working with families to help the entire family heal. 

Dr. Freeman received his bachelor of science in biochemistry from the University of Tulsa.  He went on to complete his master of science degree from Oklahoma State University College of Health Science Medicine and his doctoral degree in osteopathic medicine from the Oklahoma State University of Osteopathic Medicine.  While in his general psychiatry residency training at the University of Oklahoma, he became the first psychiatrist to complete a LEND fellowship (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.  He completed his residency training at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then completed a Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry through Tufts University and Maine Medical Center.  In fellowship, Dr. Freeman received specific training in Family Therapy which focused on attachment-based principles and family systems.

Dr. Freeman believes that all children and parents are doing the best they can and that when children have behavioral difficulties it is important to equip them with the skills to meet expectations.



Dr. Freeman is Out-of-Network for All Insurances

Please check with your insurance provider’s out-of-network benefits if you are going to seek reimbursement. 

CURRENT FEES

  • 90-120 minute evaluation: $1000
  • 30 minute medication management and supportive therapy: $250
  • 50 minute medication management and therapy: $500

In checking with your carrier, it may help to report the codes that will be billed.  You will need to know if you have out of network benefits, any deductible for out of network benefits you must meet, and the dollar reimbursement amount for the following codes:

  • Initial Evaluation: 90792
  • Monthly Medication Management Appointment: 99213 or 99214 (depending on complexity) and 90833
  • Weekly Therapy/Medication Appointments: 99213 or 99214 (depending on complexity) and 90836
